Ogun State, Nigeria – October, 2024

The Richmond Heart of Care Foundation International (RHOC Foundation) has continued its mission of empowering communities through education and health awareness with a recent sensitization and outreach program held across several communities in Ogun State.

The initiative focused on raising awareness about cancer and kidney diseases, two major health challenges affecting Nigerians, while also providing empowerment support to the less privileged, women, and the elderly.

During the event, RHOC Foundation volunteers and medical professionals engaged residents in interactive health talks, free screenings, and educational sessions on early detection and prevention. The foundation also distributed essential items and small business support packages to women and elderly participants, helping them improve their livelihoods and well-being.

Speaking at the program, representatives of the foundation emphasized that health education and empowerment go hand in hand in building resilient communities. “We believe that when people are informed and supported, they can make better health decisions and live with dignity,” one of the coordinators noted.

The outreach was met with gratitude and enthusiasm from community members, many of whom expressed appreciation for the foundation’s commitment to improving lives.

This initiative is part of RHOC Foundation’s ongoing efforts to bridge health education gaps, promote preventive care, and uplift vulnerable populations across Nigeria and beyond.
